    Driven by Diversity of Thought

Our success is powered by the unique perspectives of our people. We’re committed to equality, inclusion, and respect.

    Diversity. Equity. Inclusion. DB SCHENKER.

Driven by diversity of thought, our success is powered by the unique perspectives of our people. We’re committed to equality, inclusion, and respect. As a talent-driven company, when we move, we move together and grow together.

Creating an inclusive environment is a high priority, ensuring our people can bring their whole selves to the table and do meaningful work. The DB SCHENKER spirit is driven by difference - and no one will be left behind!

Together, we are building a workplace that values our differences and removes barriers to opportunity.

    M. Diez / Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Creating a culture of equity, inclusion and belonging is the key to sustainable and equitable growth.

We pledge to foster a culture at Schenker that is inclusive, enduring, and energizing, rooted in trust, respect, and a profound sense of belonging. Every individual will be recognized and valued for their unique contributions, creating an environment where authenticity is celebrated, and everyone is encouraged to be their true self.

We are redefining excellence and transforming leadership, treating equality as a core business value and leadership obligation. We are investing strategically to nurture a diverse pool of talent, ensuring that our vision for leadership reflects the rich diversity of the global community we serve.

We actively identify and dismantle barriers to equality within our organization, ensuring equitable access to opportunities for all. Our talent processes will be transparent, fair, and designed to produce equitable outcomes, reflecting our dedication to fairness in every aspect of our business.

How we embrace diversity of thought

Building a diverse team is meaningful, but that’s only the beginning. We’re also driven to create an environment where people can thrive as they collaborate and build innovative, sustainable solutions for our customers.

Inclusion is key to fair work opportunities and establishing a culture of trust and belonging – to ensure our employees can be their authentic selves and enjoy greater impact. Partnering with our internal and external stakeholders is key to truly living this intention. So let’s shape, belong, and achieve together.

    • The range of visible and invisible differences

We attract, develop, and promote people that bring many different lived experiences.

We ensure that all levels of our workforce reflect our customers and communities.

The opposite of diversity is uniformity.

    • The dismantling of barriers and opening of access to opportunity

We remove systemic bias in our organization.

We connect individuals to what they need to be successful, given the barriers they face.

The opposite of equity is injustice.

    • The practice of making sure that all are heard and valued

We create a culture in which all employees feel their perspectives are valued.

Employees feel comfortable to show up as themselves.

The opposite of inclusion is exclusion.

We love to celebrate our people - and Diversity Week is no exception

At DB SCHENKER, we love to celebrate our diversity, equity, and inclusion 365 days a year. To top off the excitement, our teams go the extra mile to show what we are made of. In 2025, we celebrated Diversity Week around the globe with another 5-day event prepared by our colleagues, for our colleagues.

Diversity Week, October 21 - 25, 2025. What a week - our teams outperformed themselves again! Inspired by the idea to celebrate diversity through the universal language of music, our theme became, "We are the remix".

Each day of the week, a full schedule packed our hybrid festivities. Whether digital or in-person, the event was ever-present with live music shows, surprise sweet treats, guest speakers, a t-shirt giveaway, and much more. Featuring a diverse mix of genres – from classical to jazz to metalcore – entertainers included performers in the music industry to in-house talents.

In the background, a motivated team made it happen with pulling together a diverse and amazing set of entertainers, newsletter mailings, virtual invites, social media highlights, posters, t-shirts, and even a user-generated DB SCHENKER playlist.

We love the energy from the performers to the participants to the people who had a great time pulling it together.

What matters the most to our people?

With change comes new opportunities, and alongside that, we celebrate the immense strength found in our diversity and unity. To honor this, we asked our people a simple but powerful question: What matters to you? Their heartfelt responses remind us that people are at the core of everything we do. Our diverse voices, experiences, and perspectives unite us and make us stronger.
