    Your tasks

    As Business Development Manager, you will be jointly responsible for achieving the BU's budgeted volume, revenue and GP growth.

    You ensure the development and setup of new profitable sales by identifying new customers and implementing them. These are mainly large or strategic (inter)national customers. To this end, you build an internal and external relevant network. At the same time you maintain close contacts with the corporate KAM / Sales organization and the rest of the internal organization. You have a proactive approach to the market and are involved in new concepts, both customer specific solutions and general product development.

    The position

    • You are responsible for acquiring (inter)national clients for the BU Land Transport
    • You build and manage a network with internal stakeholders on a regional and national level, in addition you are jointly responsible for the further development of our commercial position in the field of land transport
    • You understand the logistics customer requirements and are responsible for making competitive offers to potential customers
    • You are able to analyze the local market and the desired logistics services and you are involved in the development of new services to better meet customer demand
    • You ensure good customer relations during the implementation phase and the transfer of the activity to the operational environment
    • You represent DB Schenker at internal and external events and symposia

    Requirements

    We ask

    • You have at least a completed Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics and Economics or Supply Chain Management
    • You have at least 3-5 years of experience in developing and generating new business in the field of Land Transport or Supply Chain Management for large international clients
    • You have an excellent command of the Dutch, English and French language in word and writing
    • You have the commercial drive to find new customers and bind them to Schenker
    • You are results-oriented, energetic, analytical, communicative and numerate
    • You are able to build and maintain internal and external networks

The focus for this position is to identify and develop new profitable sales with new customers, in cooperation with the KAM/Sales organization and to implement these new sales within the organization.
