    Your tasks

    The Head of Global IT&D Finance (m/f/d) is a Senior leadership position in the Head Office, responsible for all Global IT&D Finance applications and Services (e.g. SAFA SAP ECC, SAP Ariba e-Procure, SAP S4 Hana Treasury mgmt., SAP Cloud Analytics) with a team of 30 Corporate employees (HO + SGMS) and 40+ indirect TSC employees located in India. As Head of Global IT&D Finance (m/f/d), you are responsible for the support, optimization and further development of the Global IT&D Finance systems landscape at DB Schenker and the implementation of the Finance Digitalization strategy. You are also responsible for the management of the project portfolio within IT&D Finance and ensure the effective usage of available technologies and systems to improve process efficiency. You will be disciplinary and functionally reporting to the SVP Global IT&D Functions.

    Your tasks

    • Responsible for the global IT&D Finance applications and project portfolio
    • Responsible for the definition of Architecture, Solution Strategy and Design (based on Business Requirements) as well as implementation of the Finance Digitalization strategy
    • Performing all IT activities and duties in the area of responsibility in accordance with all relevant legal requirements, SOPs, guidelines, rules of procedure, by-laws and compliance rules
    • Full responsibility for all services, employees and costs within her/ his organizational unit (team)
    • Plans & monitors all costs related to his/ her organizational unit
    • Responsible for the development and management of larger & multi-cultural teams, consisting of several team leads and employees
    • Provides input to the business technology, financial and human resources planning on department level
    • Works with business partners to understand and anticipate business needs
    • Provides high-quality services at optimal cost to customers
    • Manages improvement processes that impact customer satisfaction, IT efficiency and IT effectiveness within area of responsibility
    • Anticipates and analyses trends in technology, assessing the impact of emerging technologies on the business and services
    • Implements strategic IT application portfolio and global processes & standards
    • Plans and manages the change by using change management tools, processes and techniques
    • Identifies the roles, skills and knowledge required
    • Establishes measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with department goals

    Requirements

    Your profile

    • Study to university degree level (computer science, business administration or related disciplines)
    • Ideally knowledge of financial systems (SAP a plus)
    • Knowledge of financial processes and procedures preferred
    • Several years of relevant work experience including leading a global and multi-cultural team with demonstrated leadership skills
    • Experience in identifying process improvements and beneficial usage of new technological developments

    To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should possess/display the following key skills/attributes:

    • Strong business and system acumen
    • Strong communication and social competencies combined with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and stakeholders and establish/maintain high level of trust and confidence
    • Ability to provide leadership and collaborate with internal and externals partners and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
    • Good understanding of project and application life cycles
    • Strong self-initiative and excellent analytical skills
    • Finance functional expertise is beneficial
    • Fluent in English, oral & written (must), fluent in German, oral & written (desirable)
    • Willingness to travel (internationally)
    • Personality profile: integrity, initiative & commitment, self-reliance, flexibility, ability to work under pressure, team player, persistency, assertiveness
