    Your tasks

    We are looking for you as a Business Architect for Contract Logistics for DB Schenker AG in our global Head Office in Essen.

    Your tasks:

    • The Business Architect Contract Logistics acts as an interface between business and IT and represents the business interests in various IT-related project- and solution work-streams
    • You actively participate in the design and engineering phase of Logistics IT-solutions - especially in the area of DB Schenker's Warehouse Management System "SAP EWM"
    • You are responsible for the worldwide roll-out and implementation of Logistics IT-solutions
    • You design, document and re-engineer business processes and manage projects and implement strategic Contract Logistics IT-solutions
    • You handle strategic business requirements and manage and interact with internal and external suppliers, e.g. consultants, 3rd party software vendors
    • You are responsible for functional testing and business-related application management (configuration) and the preparation and execution of key- and end-user trainings
    • Also UAT Management including preparation of test scenarios and overall coordination of the test phase in addition to the GO-Live support (First Level support) is your task
    • You handle and evaluate change requests

    Requirements

    Your profile:

    • You have a University degree and gained minimum professional experience, ideally in an international logistics service (IT-) environment
    • You have solid knowledge concerning operative IT-systems (especially Warehouse Management Systems), reporting solutions and, in general, you show a high affinity towards IT
    • Good understanding of contract logistics solutions and business processes
    • Project management experience, preferably in Logistics and IT projects -handling several independent work packages in parallel does not mean a challenge to you
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in an intercultural environment paired with strong communication skills / Ability to communicate with different hierarchy levels
    • Excellent presentation skills, knowledge of SAP EWM
    • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
    • German skills (read, write, understand) at basic level are a Plus
    • ideally you bring a high mobility and willingness to travel
