    Your tasks

    We are looking for you as a Global Asset & Configuration Manager (f/m/d) for Schenker AG in Essen.

    Your Tasks

    • The Global Asset & Configuration Manager (f//d) is responsible for the overall management of the Asset & Configuration Management process and its activities as well as for the CMDB structure and data model and the alignment of those topics with related stakeholders
    • This includes the execution of the Process (directly perform or delegate responsibilities) which includes
    • operating the defined and agreed process the management of the interfaces with all other relevant processes and the day to day activites of the process
    • you ensure that the operating procedures are documented to support the activities and development of process modifications & improvements and establish the processes to manage and protect the integrity of service assets and configuration items through the service lifecycle
    • You review the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, perform process audits and manage the process improvement cycle
    • You are responsible for the global rollout and implementation of Asset and Configuration Man-agement processes
    • You have the overall responsibility of the global IT Asset and Configuration Management System and are responsible for providing accurate configuration information to assist decision making, to ensure the introduction and maintenance of the asset inventory (CMDB) and for defining the structure of the Configuration Management system, including CI types, naming conventions, required and optional attributes and relationships
    • You provide guidance for maintaining Assets and CIs, driving the identification, control, record, report, audit and verify service assets and configuration items on a global perspective
    • You coordinate the tasks in relation to content change measures to configuration items and define and align the service assets that will be treated as CIs and CI classes
    • Therefore you gather and report on process metrics and required KPIs, monitor all information on CIs and support the identification of products and CIs
    • Also the training of staff in Configuration Management principles, processes and procedures lies in your responsibility

    Requirements

    Your profile:
    • Bachelor's degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience
    • Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant technical and business experience in the area of ITSM and knowledge of the processes of service management esp. Asset an Configuration Management
    • Leadership and/or project experience to manage global rollouts and cross-functional teams
    • Fluent in English language skills
    • Positive and integrative collaboration skills establishing strong supportive relationships cross all departments
