Your tasks
- Perform Budgeting, forecasting activities and provides all reports in the required DB Schenker systems for the Shared Service Center legal entity
- Recommends benchmarks for the measurement of company financial performance goals
- Analyzing complex financial reports and records
- Perform the specific controlling activities related to the month end closing (allocation cycles, checking transactions for correctness, EBIT calculation and reporting)
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the hierarchy of cost centers
- Assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions to the correct cost center structure
- Responsible for checking the accuracy and compliance of the Cash Flow & Cash Flow Projection
- Ensure Monthly quality control tracking of the actuals expensed against budgeted values
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Maintaining a clear and a good relationship with global controlling team
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service quality
- Responsible with resource planning and tracking (FTE analysis)
- Work closely with Accounting Department and other SGBS departments in providing various ad hoc required financial reports
- Performs other duties as assigned by direct superiors or manager
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen

Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Financial controller
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Good understanding in calculating figures for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements.
- University degree in the field of accounting, finance and economics
- Strong controlling background
- Several years of working experience preferably in large/global organizations
- Good technical knowledge of MS office - especially
- Excel
- SAP expertise is required, but not considered mandatory.
- Effective analytical & problem-solving skills; ability to understand complex environments.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering quality results to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivation, quick learning, and creative thinking
- Very good English language skills.
